Virgin Galactic is making its strides towards its goals of creating high-speed commercial aircraft that operates a little closer to earth than the existing passenger spacecraft. it is announced to fly at a booming speed of Mach 3 (3578 kmph) that is even faster than the original Concorde which achieved Mach 2 speed.

Rolls Royce, one of the worlds leading aircraft engine maker, has now come alongside with Virgin Galactic for engine manufacturing for there aircraft. we knew Rolls Royce has previously manufactured engine for Concorde too. (Concorde - the only supersonic commercial aircraft ever used for passenger travel.)

Also, Virgin Galactic announced that they are going to partner with NASA to work on high speed, high altitude point to point travel. 60,000 feet high cruising and with 9 to 19 people per a fly, with cabin per passenger either Bussiness or First class style seating and service.they said that there another main plan is to make next-gen sustainable fuel aircraft.

Virgin Galactic and NASA show a similar goal for there future. Both aspire the industry at large to do more to pursue the development of high-Mach point to point travel.NASA has X-59 Quiet supersonic research aircraft for this purpose.

"act as a catalyst to adoption in the rest of the aviation community” by coming up with baseline “sustainable technologies and techniques,” said Virgin Galactic about there interests.

Virgin Galactic is a manufacturing subsidiary, The spaceship company also has a partnership in place with startup BoomSupersonic to help to develop their supersonic civil passenger aircraft.

Boom is going to unveil and begin testing their XB-1 prototype at an event in October. Boom also partnered with Rolls Royce to get assistance on design and manufacturing of engines for there commercial planes.

Rolls Royce is playing a keep role in the aviation industry either manufacturing engines for commercial planes like Boeing or for spaceships like Virgin Galactic.
